Named after the Shearwater bird. The birds were hand carved, cast in Sterling silver and then rhodium plated to maintain their shine. They serve as handles to lift up the lids which are carved to resemble the surface of the water.
The drawers are made from figured Murray River Red Gum and Huon Pine. The bottom of the drawer is made from New South Wales Scented Rosewood.
